Back by popular demand, BLACKS ONLY: BORDER PATROL proudly brought to stage by Emperors Palace and YFM will take place in the Centre Court on Friday,
30 May 2008. The entertainment resort, better known as the new home of South African comedy will host the fine line-up of local comedy talent.
The face of BLACKS ONLY, David Kau, returns as MC for BORDER PATROL. Kau is world renown for his hilarious antics and fans can expect much of the same in the new show which will boast new material…
“With food crisis all over the world especially in the rest of Africa, not made any better by the never ending Zimbabwean run off elections re-runs, the chances are comedians from the rest of the continent are also making their way to South African comedy shows, and some of the comedians we thought were South African are infact not ...” commented Kau.
For the first time, Marc Lottering will form part of the BLACKS ONLY line-up. Lottering hails from Cape Town, and is considered by many to be one of the hottest South African comics. The son of a Cape flats Pentecostal Pastor, Marc’s colourful upbringing is often reflected in his unique brand of comedy which has established him as a firm favourite with audience’s country wide.
Lottering first burst onto the scene with a self-scripted one-man show in 1997, and has since continued to wow audiences. He has been the recipient of both Fleur du Cap and Vita Theatre awards and has performed to ex-pats in London, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. He continues to keep homesick South Africans entertained.
