South Africa’s very own diva, Lebo Mathosa, has been nominated for 2006 prestigious MOBO AWARDS, to be held in London at The Royal Albert Hall on the 20th September!
The MOBO AWARDS, which recognises Music of Black Origin, are held annually in the UK, to recognize artists of any race, ethnicity or nationality, performing music of Black origin. The awards have been running since 1996 and previous winners include the likes of Usher, Kanye West, Jamelia, 50 Cent and Justin Timberlake! Over the last 6 years the event has become the fastest growing music award ceremony in the world and is seen by over 200 million viewers across the globe.
And amongst this year’s nominee for BEST AFRICAN ACT is South Africa’s very own Lebo Mathosa. Other nominees in this category include Batman Samini, P Square, Jose Chameleone and Tony Tetuila!
Lebo is known for her electrifying live performances and she’s considered one of South Africa’s most versatile, imaginative and electric artists, who’s constantly in demand locally and internationally.
